Columbia - A Night of Rumi
Our Night of Rumi hosted at our Columbia center on May 26, 2015 started off with a short video on Rumi. Then Akif Aydin, president of the Atlantic Institute spoke about Rumi in how he sees him in a Muslim setting. Mr. Aydin also quotes some of Rumi's poem such as:
"Come, come again, whoever you are, come!
Wanderer, fire worshipper or idolatrous, come!
Come even if you broke your vows a hundred times,
Ours is the portal of hope, come, come again as you are."
We followed up the night with light refreshments and wonderful conversations.
