The Atlantic Institute just finished up another TEDTalk Dialogue Night! These monthly discussion groups have been a good source of rigorous discussion over the last few months and last night's talk "What to Trust in a 'Post-Truth' World" was no different. Dr. DeLapp and Dr. Barker led the group as we explored what is real, what is truthful, and how to separate that from fiction. One of the most riveting points came from Dr. Barker as he compared the talk to how we perceive a measles epidemic and how to recognize what information to trust. We are so thankful for these professors for coming out to guide us as we examined this topic. We'd also like to thank the Spartanburg County Main Library and all our attendees for helping make this a great night.
