The Rev. Deb Richardson-Moore is the recently retired pastor of Triune Mercy Center, a mission church in Greenville that brings homeless, working poor, middle-class and wealthy parishioners into community. Triune was also a co-founder of the Greenville Homeless Alliance and Jasmine Road, an agency that rescues women from sexual exploitation.
Deb is author of a memoir, The Weight of Mercy, about her early years as a pastor among the homeless. Lion Hudson, her publisher in England, then published her Branigan Powers mystery series, which is set against the backdrop of a homeless encampment. A stand-alone mystery, Murder, Forgotten, came out in 2020.
During her years at Triune, Deb received multiple honors, including an honorary doctorate from Furman University in 2021, United Housing Connections’ Humanitarian Award in 2020, Leadership Greenville’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2017, and the Atlantic Institute’s Public and Community Service Award in 2016.
